This year National
PCC Day was held on Wednesday, September 20th. PCC's from around
the country were asked to join in on the festivities. Postmaster
General and Chief Executive Officer John E. Potter delivered
his keynote address live from the Arlington Convention Center
in Arlington, Texas. The Postmaster General's remarks can be
viewed or downloaded here.
Also on that day,
Deputy Postmaster General and Chief Operating Officer Patrick
Donahoe participated in an hour long live satellite broadcast
from Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The Mohawk Valley
PCC and the CNY PCC sponsored the local event, which was held
at the Syracuse Main Post Office in North Syracuse. Notable
speakers included Cheryl Matt, Syracuse Acting Postmaster, Megan
Brennan, USPS Northeast Area V.P., and Joseph J. Carfi, Syracuse
University & CNY PCC Co-Chair. After Lunch, everyone sat
back and enjoyed the satellite broadcast from Arlington, Texas.
All in all it was another informative and successful event.
